In March 2014, Storm Door had the good fortune to bring May's sister Nina Violet in for an impromptu session at Matt's home studio. A string arranger, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter based in Massachusetts, Nina was in town recording orchestral arrangements with The Asteroid Project (May's other band).

Without discussion or prior arrangement, this version of Paper Bird emerged, as from a sleepy starlit forest of sequence and synth. An exploration of melded sound and mindreading, here is the take in its entirety. Wander with us.
